Dr. Gold's evaluations, decisions and recommendations have ruined the lives of four families and countless individuals. On two occasions during a divorce case he recommended dividing sole custody of two daughters would be good for all parties. During the divorce, a time of greatest need for stability for the girls, he felt the two daughters were too dependent on one another. Dr. Gold stated both daughters would benefit from separation and being allowed freedom to grow as individuals. He was wrong in his conclusions and he is responsible for the hatred, mistrust, animosity and conflict between four families.

During 1979 and 1980 Russell S. Gold, PhD was hired to perform "PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION and RE-EVALUATIONS FOR CUSTODY" for a divorce here in San Diego.

BACKGROUND: During the fall of 1979 sole custody of Daughter#1 (then age 13) and Daughter#2 (then age 9) was awarded to the father. Dr. Gold had been consulted and his recommendation appears in the Custody Agreement.

In July, 1980 the mother appeared in Court requesting custody of Daughter#2, not Daughter#1. After Court ordered interviews with all parties, Dr. Gold issued an Evaluation report recommending Daughter#2 be allowed to live with her mother on a temporary basis. Several restrictions were placed on the mother.

In December, 1980 the mother again appeared in Court requesting permanent custody of Daughter#2. The father objected to the permanent division of Daughters and requested (1) the mother's request be denied and Daughter#2 be returned to the father's home containing Daughter#1 or (2) Daughter#1 join Daughter#2 in the mother's home. The father felt keeping the daughters together was more important than who retained custody. The mother stated in court that she did not want custody of Daughter#1 Again, Dr. Gold issued an Evaluation stating separation of the daughters would be good for both Daughters. It would allow Daughter#2 to grow independently of Daughter#1 since Daughter#2 had become quite dependent on Daughter#1.

RESULT: The Courts decision at the recommendations of Dr. Gold resulted in the destruction of the family. Daughter#2 lived with the mother during her High School years including visitations with her father. Daughter#1 continued to live with her father with very little contact with her mother and sister. When Daughter#2 turned 18 and the mother refused to pay Court ordered college expenses Daughter#2 began living with both her mother and her father when not away at college. At that time Daughter#1 was just finishing college and there was little contact between the sisters.

As the years passed the daughters grew further apart. Both are grown women, nearly 50 years old, and have not had contact for several years. The distrust and animosity between them has increased. The children of Daughter#1 do not know and have been denied contact with their aunt. Daughter#2 has remained childless not wanting her children to suffer as she had and doubting her ability as a mother. Both daughters agree on a hatred of Dr. Gold.

The mother passed in 2010 after a long and painful illness. She excluded Daughter#1 and the father from her hospital stay. The burden of her death was left to Daughter#2. The cause of death was an hereditary fatal disease which was passed to Daughter#1. Daughter#1's reaction was, "my mother gave me nothing but a death sentence".

The father continues a relationship with both daughters on a separate basis. He feels he has no family. He shares his daughters feelings of Dr. Gold.
