Dr. Fay systematically worked with my ex spouse to begin the process of parental alienation (ultimately it failed). She had conversations with an independent parental evaluation expert in which she presented "evidence" that was blatantly biased and detrimental to my child's well being. She worked in secret, blatantly lied, created false notes and false descriptions of her treatment with my child. She refused to provide treatment summaries to me as well as notes about my child's treatment despite being required to do so by law. After notification of my intent to file charges against her I did receive what were obviously falsified notes and treatment summaries.

This is a woman who makes her living off state funded DV referrals (even though accusations have been proven false) from the court. In my opinion she will do whatever is necessary to secure her financial well being even if it means lying, coercion of children, and alienating children from a loving parent. She literally tricked my child into creating lies that were used against me in custody, unsuccessfully. I am thankful that a true and unbiased professional was able to see all these tactics, refute and discredit Dr. Fay. I was eventually awarded fair and equitable custody despite Dr. Fays false treatment notes and allegations. I plan to bring these tactics to light by filling a formal complaint with the state and federal agencies against Dr. Fay.

You should never trust this person with your child or children. If you have been ordered to use Dr. Fay through a court process you should seek another independent therapist to combat these despicable tactics. She does not care about your child or you.

Terrible counselor and "psychologist." The positive reviews on this site appear to be written by Karen herself. Her manner is strange, mousey, and patronizing. At the very beginning I felt ill-at-ease leaving my children with her, and sure enough what a mistake. She ended up creating far more problems for my family than resolving, and her solution was to conduct more paid visits. When I asked for a 10-minute update on how my kids were doing over the phone, she insisted I come in, she then gave me a quick update, and then said I owed her for a full hour session because she had blocked out the time. This is just one example among many where this woman showed her intent to be keeping a stream of business going rather than helping my children. I regret having ever used her services.
