I brought my daughter to see Frances B Woods Ph D My daughter was suffering form serve bulimia. On the first visit Frances told my daughter that she was no has bad as we thought, even though she had no knowledge of how my times was purging per day. My daughter had been interviewed by experts at hospitals and crisis teams in they spent three hours interviewing her came to the conclusion that she needed inpatient treatment. After seeing Frances Woods for only fifteen minutes Ms, Wood concluded that my daughter was not that bad (reviewing none of her medical records). She convinced my daughter who had been purging up to twenty times a day that she was not a candidate for inpatient treatment. My daughter started seeing Frances Woods for once a week for six months.
Then next time I saw Frances Woods was for (only the second time i had ever met her). Within ten minutes she accuse me with a pointing finger stating I had an associate identity personality disorder, with multiple personalities. She accused me of severely beating my child when they were young.
Ten minutes into the conversation she could diagnose me even with out a series of questions.
This lady is not professional or talented by any means.
If you have a loved one that is mentally ill please find a professional clinic.
Run from this lady because I truly believe she is manipulating and very dishonest. She was very angry that I had researched and knew the facts about bulimia. Francis Woods did not know me from a stranger. I was a concerned mother who had serious doubts about progress with my daughter. The minute I expressed that I wanted in patient treatment for my daughter she threw out all kinds of false allegations about my parenting and even tried to say I was a monstrous child abuser. Again ten minutes into a session with her.
I am going to the Arkansas board of health and will take every step necessary to see that Frances Wood looses her license. Frances Wood broke about every hippa law there is, Even if the allegations were true she did not have any right to disclose them to my teenage daughters!
