A small child was regularly seen long ago by Dr. Barry in the midst of a turbulent, lengthy, and viciously contested family court proceeding spanning several years. During that uncertain, nearly untenable bevy of years, Dr. Barry consistently conducted herself with utmost integrity, dignity, and compassion. Above all, Dr. Barry's genuine nature and authentic concern for the best interests of that young child were qualities this parent respected and appreciated.

As that small family's proceeding came to its long over-due close, time passed, and we *moved on* with our lives. In thinking back to those horrifying years, almost 20 years later, Dr. Barry's work was one of the bright and positive components in a dark and seemingly unceasing situation.

Dr. Barry displayed an articulate, competent approach to working with my child amidst a sensitive and unsavory situation. She presented a constant voice of reason and logic. In retrospect, in the way that only the passage of time can illuminate-Dr. Barry was akin to being a constant true North for us.

The blessing Dr. Barry was to my very young son was, of course, unbeknownst to him in his childhood years-and for many years thereafter. The little boy grew into a fine, intelligent, responsible, and above all, kind human being. Most assuredly, now an adult man, he realizes with the complex understanding only maturity provides, the rare gift he/we experienced in Dr. Barry.

Simply: thank you, Dr. Barry. Your work made a difference. You are remembered with both fondness and gratitude.
