Jonathan Aronoff, Ph.D.

Dr. Aronoff is a licensed psychologist, psychoanalyst, and certified personal and executive coach. He obtained his M.S. in experimental psychology at Ohio University and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Brigham Young University. He then completed his certification as a psychoanalyst at The Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. After 30 years of playing and coaching competitive soccer he discovered his own unique style of integrating his passion for athleticism and team into his psychotherapy and coaching practice. As a consultant to athletic teams, small businesses, couples and families and as co-instructor with Dr. Sandra Foster of the Positive Psychology telecourse for The College of Executive Coaching, Dr. Aronoff views goal-setting, enhancing character strengths, peak performance and well-being through the lens of what it means to be part of a "Team". The majority of his coaching practice focuses on adolescent and young adult men who struggle with the transformation into productive, successful leaders. He has referred to this population as "the Lost Generation of Boys" and continues to find this part of his practice the most rewarding. Using his fundamental principles of self-discovery and accountability, he empowers these young men to become confident and competent leaders, and has integrated those models and concepts into his executive and personal coaching.
