I have lived Sarasota since 2002 and completed my massage therapist training at the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy, with over 760 hours of nationally approved training in bodywork. I am fully licensed and insured by the state of Florida to perform massage. Additonally, I have completed a 64 hour Thai Massage Certificate. I am Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB), and am a member of the Florida State Massage Therapy Association.
I offer relaxation massage, massage for clients with chronic injuries, and yoga/Thai massage. My passion for massage is greatly fueled by my involvement in Bikram Yoga; I have been practicing for 3 years and am an instructor at the Bikram Yoga studio in downtown Sarasota. My approach to massage therapy is present-centered, intuitive, and integrative. I offer a wide variety of treatment approaches, from relaxation and pain relief to Thai massage.
Hold 150 hour professional certificate from Thailand Ministry of Education.
I am a distance runner, and I went to Tom for a Thai massage to help with very sore hips and lower back. He greeted me at the door and made a concerted effort to understand my problem and my needs. This gave me great confidence in him even before the massage began and allowed me to trust him completely during the session. A Thai massage is not always easy, and Tom's was no exception; however, I always felt that he knew exactly what he was doing. At the conclusion of the massage I felt better than I have in a long, long time. It looks as if I have finally found a good masseur in Sarasota.
