I am an MFT as well as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. With the extensive training and experience I have, I am able to successfully work with the many aspects of treatment that accompany eating disorders. Recovery from an eating disorder can be such a fulfilling and amazing process, allowing an individual to maximize his/her abilities that may be difficult to access. I always welcome calls and am willing to provide information to those with questions. I work with not only individuals, but also with couples and families when needed. Penny gets no stars and should be stripped of her license based on ethics violations but you have to pick one:

She and Gary Alexander have no ethics. After separating from my abusive, and now ex-husband, I saw Penny with my two sons. I had a restraining order against my husband which Penny was well aware of. I was sitting in the waiting room during my son's visit with her when 'guess who' walks in the door to see Gary Alexander, placing me and my child in a dangerous situation. I was forced to leave and our 'safe' place was no longer safe. Next visit is with Penny and my two sons. Apparently, Penny and Gary had exchanged 'notes' and Penny spent the hour interrogating my sons about my behavior. They appeared upset after the visit but did not tell me why. During my visit, Penny doesn't 'share' anything about her time with my sons and proceeds to interrogate me, based on what my ex-husband had told Gary Alexander. Penny was well aware that my ex is a classic sociopath with a history of violence against women and children, he is an alcoholic and a gambler, and when he isn't drinking, is a drug addict. He beat me in front of my children and kicked us out of the house. Yet there I was, defending myself to Penny like a rape victim who is being blamed for causing the crime based on what she was wearing. Needless to say, we couldn't trust Penny or Kayenta Counseling services as they had violated a restraining order and the HIPPA Laws of privacy that protect me and my children. That is a crime. They failed to provide a safe place for counseling because as I found out, my ex could and would show up during our time there. That should be a crime. We went to another counselor who immediately diagnosed the three of us with PTSD, something Penny failed to do. As far as I'm concerned, Penny Fife and Gary Alexander violated their Oath of Ethics and HIPPA privacy laws. They proved they are incompetent for Domestic Violence counseling and patient diagnosis. A copy of this will go to the state board as I believe I have let her get away, thus far, with a crime that she should be held responsible for.
