About

Andrew Butler, Ph.D.

With over 20 years experience providing psychotherapy for adults of all ages as well as adolescents, I regularly work with clients representing a wide variety of professions, cultures, races, and lifestyles.

Services

I offer high-quality cognitive behavioral therapy to my clients in the context of a warm, flexible, and supportive therapy relationship. I strive to provide exceptional individualized attention to each client. My goal is to empower my clients to develop the self-awareness and skills that will allow them to overcome emotional or behavioral problems, have satisfying relationships, and live more rewarding lives.

The kinds of problems I frequently treat include depression and anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship conflict and loss, and trauma. I have particular expertise in cogntive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for major depression, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and health anxiety disorders. CBT has emerged in recent years as the leading form of psychotherapy with proven effectiveness for many problems and disorders.
