About
I have had the pleasure of working with great teachers and mentors during my 20 year career. The ones who most influenced how I work today are: Terry Real, LICSW (Relational LifeTherapy), Pia Mellody, RN (5 Core Self Skills and Healing the Wounded Child, Adaptive Child and Growing the Functioning Adult) Brugh Joy, MD (Heart Centering and Mindfulness Work) and The Enneagram
I also specialize in leading workshops in my private practice for individuals with trauma using Pia Mellodys, Post Induction Treatment method that investigates the origins of adult dysfunctional behaviors. I combine both of these models in effectively working with clients to heal and alleviate painful relationships.
I have been a therapist in private practice for fourteen years working with individuals and couples. I hold a licensed masters degree in counseling psycholdogy from Cambridge College, Cambridge, MA. I enjoy my work and bring my years of experience and expertise to all my clients. I am blessed with two sons and a husband and am committed to living a "relational" life.
I also have been on the Relational Life faculty with Terry Real, couples therapist for 8 years. I have also extensively trained for the last 6 years with Pia Mellody in her Post Induction Model that heals childhood trauma.

My practice with couples and individuals is non-traditional in that I believe in shorter term treatment, longer sessions weeks apart, giving homework, encouraging individuals to attend intensive workshops where they learn new behavioral skills and achieve new insights.
