While I was waiting for 45 minutes in the exam room I overheard Schopick talking to another MD about how a female patient there had "hot curves" and how she had a great "bread box". Upon arrival into the exam room he had a mouthful of something he was finishing eating with a splotch of mayo on his chin. I told him I hoped he enjoyed his lunch because while waiting for him I missed mine. I had been in a nasty car wreck a week before that left me with three fractured vertabrae, nerve damage, and two broken ribs. He told me he hadn't had a chance to review my MRI's yet and to come back in three days. I asked him about the pain medication and corticosteroids the ER prescribed me and how I had run out the day before and now was in considerable pain. He said no problem and wrote me a prescription for naproxen and motrin!!! I told him I could have went to the gas station and got those and they did absolutely nothing for pain. He then went on a diatribe about how narcotic pain medication neither helped nor healed anything and MD's who prescribed them were high class drug dealers. He said anti-inflammatories and laying on your side resting were "the gravy train to wellness town." I told him this was not an option because I had commute to my law practice an hour away every day rain or shine. He then decided to write me a script for tylenol 3 "against his better judgment". I have never met a more unprofessional doctor or man in my life.
