I decided to have an exam here as they had an earlier appointment slot open than did my usual optometrist. I have nothing positive to say about my experience. I have worn the same brand lenses for many years. I like them. They are perfect for me. The optometrist argued with me that I should "try out" a new brand. I told him I did not want to. He persisted. After a back and forth he chose a lens he assured me was perfect. I called a few days later. The lens made my eyes hurt. My eyes were bloodshot. I felt them in my eyes. He did not return my call. I went back in where he proceeded to tell me I must not be taking care of them. I told him they hurt the day I put them in. I asked for my old prescription lenses. He was insulting, referring to people who don't want to change prescriptions as "difficult" and "cranky". He mentioned that most people just do not know what they need, and that they should listen to the guy "who has been doing this for many years". Good grief. He was patronizing, condescending and argumentative. I asked for a refund. He stated he didn't have enough money in his pocket to refund my $120 exam cost. He only had "about $15". I mentioned to him that it was absurd that, not only could he not offer a refund, but argued with me about my contacts have that worked perfect for 15 years. He finally called my previous optometrist and got the old prescription. He gave me a new prescription for the same lens I always wore. This was an ordeal that should not have gone this way. Very disappointed.
