Dr. Hom is a pediatrician with Oshiro Pediatrics. She did her undergraduate studies at Harvard, graduating magna cum laude. She went to medical school at Tufts University in Boston. She did her pediatric residency at Keesler Air Force Base. She is board certified with the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) and a fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).

Noelle Cerdan, MSN, APRN, CPNP, DNP is one of the four healthcare providers working at Oshiro Pediatrics. DNP Cerdan joined the practice in June 2009. She is a pediatric nurse pracitioner (PNP) and is board certified (CPNP). She is providing pediatric services just like Dr. Hom and Dr. Oshiro. A pediatric nurse practitioner provides services just like a physician's assistant (PA) or a nurse practitioner (NP). A pediatric nurse practitioner, however, has had more extensive pediatric training. Whereas a PA or a NP trains to take care of both pediatric patients and adult patients, a PNP trains to solely take care of pediatric patients. PNP Cerdan completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Nursing at UNLV and is now working on her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). She has worked at Sunrise Children’s Hospital in the pediatric intensive care unit and worked at St. Rose-San Martin on the general pediatric floor. She is a fellow of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. In 2011, she published her research on asthma in Applied Nursing Research. She is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. PNP Cerdan works Tuesday through Friday. She does not work Mondays. She sees patient with regular appointments as well as same day sick/urgent appointments. Her first appointment is at 8:30 am. Her last regular appointment is at 5:00 pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 5:15 pm on Thursdays, and 4:15 pm on Fridays. She will see patients after her regular appointments if all the previous appointments have been filled. Of the three providers, she has the best availability in the early morning or if you have a child who needs to be seen in the afternoon after school. PNP Cerdan is precepting one UNLV nurse practitioner student at a time each Summer semester. She does not precept NP students during the Fall or Spring semesters. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling around the world. Follow her travels on Instagram: @tempestswept
