I moved back home to New York about 4 years ago. I like my new veterinarian here on long Island. But there is no one else like Dr. Jack Moreau - best vet EVER! He was so wonderful taking care of my Jack Russell terrier, Mickey, for 14 years, who eventually passed on. Dr. Moreau is compassionate, competent and generally wonderful and I miss him. I have two Jack Russells now, Buddy and Max, who I love and they are well cared for. But we miss Dr. Moreau! You would be foolish not to take your pet to him for care if you live in the area. Destrehan Animal Hospital has been a vet provider for my non-profit organization for TWENTY-FIVE years; they have been professional, capable, "user friendly" and personally friendly to me and my organization's representatives and I will absolutely return (whether Dr. Jack likes it or not!! :o) !!!). I will ALWAYS recommend his facility to anyone with any breed or species! He has found "easy" fixes (things that should have been looked at and seen) by other vets, but weren't, and has saved a lot of animals that the owners just felt they couldn't afford the over-priced misdiagnoses that they had received elsewhere. I just wish I could convince him to move his clinic to the Northshore, where I now reside!!!
