This place has been an absolute nightmare to work with. I was referred to an LPC named Lisa for six weeks for anxiety issues from my work's employee assistance program, and all she did was sit and listen and throw out little tidbits like, "That's f----d up," when I would tell her something. She did absolutely nothing to help me cope with anxiety, and released me back to work FAR before I was ready to go. When I had another mental breakdown on the third day back, she simply stated, "Well, you're going to get better or you're not. You should just quit your job and go work a stress free position like a part time job at Starbucks." As if it were something I had never considered. She said this probably four or five times, even after I told her it wasn't an option financially for me. When she told me she would not extend my leave of absence, my husband asked to speak with her. He simply asked if she would write a letter, to present to HR, that would state this position was not a healthy position for me to be in (which she had told me before in a session) so that I could be transferred to a non-sales related job. She refused to do so, and when my husband pressed for answers as to why she was unwilling to help me in ANY WAY, she handed me the phone and accused him of trying to bully her when he was simply concerned about the EXTREMELY POOR treatment I was receiving. But, of course, she did make sure to mention, "Make another appointment and we can discuss this further." It's my opinion she was just there for the paycheck from my insurance. Janet Callahan treated me like a burden and inconvenience whenever I had an appointment and informed her the four medications she prescribed me did nothing to help. The first made me violently sick, the second made me sleep for 16 hours a day (which I told her I am alone with a toddler most of the day AND could not function in a work environment on this medication), and the third wasn't even an anti-anxiety medication! At the last prescription, she told me, "If this doesn't work, I'm out of ideas." Way to instill confidence in your patients. Guess what? Didn't work and I didn't bother to go back. And now that I left to go see a REAL doctor, I'm having a nightmare getting my records to save my job because these people have absolutely NO concern for the people they treat. FIFTY DOLLARS for two files? No thanks. Not like I could afford it since these people caused me to go unpaid for five weeks following my second breakdown because they wrote me off. Big shocker, after seeing a real doctor, and simply being prescribed a VERY LOW dose of Xanax, I'm back at work and performing better than I have in my entire employment there. This place might have some pretty degrees on the wall, but they know nothing about ACTUALLY caring for and helping people.
