About
Starting with her BA program, Ms. Sciarrino has continually worked with children and adolescents, connecting them with necessary services and providing them with individual, group, and family counseling.
Since graduation, Ms. Sciarrino has worked on Child Study Teams providing case management services and group counseling for elementary age children; she has been a play therapist at a special education preschool providing individual, group, and family counseling for children with Asperger’s Disorder and high functioning Autism, behavioral disorders, and trauma. She has also worked at an outpatient mental health center providing counseling services for children and adults.
Currently, Ms. Sciarrino runs her own private practice providing play therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy for children and adolescents.
She has also served as a Board Member and Unit Co-Chair for the National Association of Social Workers. Additionally, Ms. Sciarrino presents on play therapy to other mental health professionals for various professional organizations.
Ms. Sciarrino is a professional member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Association for Play Therapy, and she is a Certified School Social Worker.
