How long do sessions last? Sessions are usually 45-50 minutes, the standard for a typical counseling session .
How long will this last? Many issues determine the length of treatment and prognosis. In the first few sessions treatment goals are explored including frequency of sessions, counseling modalities used for the presenting issues, and the length of treatment. In general the more overlapping issues, the longer and more pervasive the issues, and the less the client is willing to practice skills outside of session the longer the treatment. Counseling regarding the initial presenting concern(s) may raise other related issues which may need to also be explored. Scheduling and financial considerations may also be factor in determining the length and course of treatment.
How do I pay for this? We try to be reasonable and affordable yet consistent with the rates for an independently licensed professional counselor with the specific competency areas of River of Life. Fees for outpatient counseling are payable by cash, check to River of Life at the time of service or through the website EFT PLUS

She has a passion for seeing the lives of individuals, families, couples, and groups changed and hope restored where there has been emotional woundedness. As such there are a variety of ways she and River of Life offer services to those with emotional concerns. Clinical counseling helps diagnose and treat emotional and mental disorders which may, if left untreated, impair one's emotional well being in the long run. Psychoeducational teaching services are also available for persons in the community, schools, teachers, churches and businesses to educate them about practical ways to ensure emotional wellness in the people thy serve. Written publications and audio or video teachings on emotional healing topics are also available from River of Life to maximize knowledge of techniques that may be applied outside the counseling office on an ongoing basis. Finally, Michele is a provider of ongoing continuing education courses which are pre-approved by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board toward state continuing education requirements for professional counselors, professional clinical counselors and supervising counselors in the state of Ohio.
