I visited this sauna (bathhouse) several times in The Late !980's after the Fire. In the early 1990's. I moved to California, and carefully enjoyed the gay life in Silicon Valley until moving back to NYC in 1999. On my first trip to Northern Men's Sauna, I was impressed with the rudeness of the guy at the receptionist area. The place could have been cleaner, and was in need of a remodeling, but putting all that aside, I had a fabulous time "topping" 2 hunky guys. On the return trip in the early 2000's, the place had seemingly deteriorated, and the rooms seemed shabby. Again, however, I had a fabulous time being a "well visited bottom by two very endowed men who were "horny as hell"! However, I found that travelling from the UWS in Manhattan to Farrington Street in Flushing via the 7 Train was a problem when I was able to visit both The West Side Club, and occasionally the East Side Club. However, I have been told that The Northern Men's Sauna, and Health Club had permanently closed as has The West Side Club on West 20th Street in Manhattan. What a pity! It seems that bathhouses have fallen victim to the Internet, We, older gay guys, enjoy the easy availability of having fun at bathhouses with the anonymity that bath houses offer to their patrons. It is a malfeasance to the older gay population that a place like NYC has only one gay bath house left. We are unlike Europe, and l other populated urban centers around the world. Leave it to Republicans to squander gay rights, and enjoyments. Cavete Gay People!! Gay men are headed to the "Times before the Stonewall Riots", with such jackasses as Marjorie Taylor Green, and Ron DeSantis on the Political Stage,

The equipment is old but the place has a Spartan feel to it. Good place to meet new people, friendly clientele.
