•Apartments and common areas are housed in The Manor, a sprawling retreat with floor plans ranging in size from a one-bedroom to those with two-bedrooms and a den.
•Cottages with open floor plans have spacious living, dining and kitchen areas, two bedrooms, two baths, three-sided fireplaces, a one or two car garage. Some cottages may include a basement, den or sunroom.
•Amenities and services events and programs are designed to enhance personal health and fitness and to create a sustaining sense of well-being. Resident members may join a water aerobics class in the heated indoor pool, participate in strength training, yoga or meditation in the fitness studio, please their palates with a wide selection of entrees in our comfortable restaurant-style dining room or more casual tavern, meet their neighbors in the café for morning coffee or participate in a variety of education and cultural events in the theater style auditorium As a one-of-a-kind, independent living community Nichols Village commits to providing active adults with an unparalleled lifestyle next to none.
•Two established home care agencies, Home Health VNA (Visiting Nurses Association) and Right at Home share a program office conveniently located within the Nichols Village community. Residents may choose to contract directly with these agencies for services on an as-needed, fee-for-service basis.
•Home Health VNA provides “skilled services including nursing care and physical, occupational, and speech therapies. When ordered by your physician these skilled services are covered by Medicare.
•Right at Home provides “supportive care” services such as meal preparation, bathing, dressing, medication reminders and companion care. These services are privately paid by the resident, though may be covered by long term care insurance or Veteran’s Aid and Attendance benefits.
Services are provided by professional home care specialists dedicated to the Nichols Village community where residents may choose to receive care within the comfort of their own apartment or cottage.
