Open since 1993, Animal Emergency and Trauma Center (AETC) specializes in emergency, trauma and referral medicine for Kitsap County and surrounding areas.

Our doctors and experienced staff are here for you and your pet 24/7/365, day and night, for any emergency or medical condition when your family veterinarian is not available. We see a variety of medical and surgical conditions affecting your beloved pet. Our team has the unique veterinary expertise of well-trained doctors and animal technicians who have advanced experience in the highly specialized field of animal emergency and critical care.

At AETC, we keep you informed because we understand the strong bond between your pet and your family. We also understand that pet emergencies are stressful. We do are best to make this time as easy for you as possible.

We take no chances during surgical procedures. During the procedure or surgery your pet's heart, respirations, temperature, EKG, and blood pressure are closely monitored just as would be done if you were in surgery. Our doctors take measures to control pain before and after surgery to make the experience as comfortable as possible. During and after surgery, each patient is closely monitored by our highly trained technicians and the doctor is alerted to changing conditions.

Our in-house diagnostic laboratory can give initial results within minutes. More complicated tests on blood and urine may take a few minutes longer but we rarely need to send blood to an outside lab. For those test that require a full service laboratory, our usual turn around time is less than 24 hours for most tests. We monitor our patients closely and use this information to modify our treatment plan on an ongoing 24 hour basis.

AETC has state-of-the-art imaging capabilities to aid in diagnosis of you pet. Digital radiographs (x-rays), ultrasound, and echocardiology are all part of our diagnostic arsenal. We often send our studies to board certified veterinary specialists via telemedicine for second opinions and consultations.

At Animal Emergency and Trauma our state of the art medicine and high standard of care will make the difference to you and your pet. However, we feel that our most important strength is the quality and dedication of our trained and experienced staff.

We hope to never see you and your pet at Animal Emergency and Trauma Center. But if we do, you can rest assured that you will get the best medical care possible.
