Reason for visit: Sunday visit for bronchitis with wheezing keeping me from sleeping, Needed Rx for bronchodilator to get me through till Mon with my regular doctor, and to prevent bronchitis going to pneumonia as it did last time. A simple case. I had called ahead, and made sure my insurance was accepted etc too..
Imagine my shock when the Doctor refused to see me or talk to me. His nurse asked a slew of questions unrelated to the current situation, did not hear me on what the current issue was, then sent word the doctor refused to see me and I could go elsewhere, as he would not be seeing me! (15 miles elsewhere). I got two different excuses, one being that "I was in a wheelchair though I can stand as needed" (huh?) and another being that "the xray would not penetrate" (huh?).
I did not need an xray, my lungs were clear; not that the doctor cared - he had not bothered to see me, much less get out a stethoscope and listen! How lazy and unethical is that?
Trying to get the nurse to let me talk to the doctor was a lost cause and I was forced to leave as they refused to help me at all - I left in complete disgust.
In my opinion that nurse was practicing medicine without a license - diagnosis is supposed to be the job of the doctor - not that I know what that nurse diagnosed?? I was not told!
I consider her completely unqualified to decide what the doctor should or should not know about me sight unseen, and without my being able to describe the real issue (either to her or to the doctor who refused to show his face.)
I was not heard out, not examined, and got zero care and no doctor willing to see me, much less get out his stethoscope.
If that's what you call urgent CARE - feel free to go there!

Fortunately, I managed to get hold of a doctor on call at the clinic where mine works, and she prescribed the needed bronchodilator to prevent complications including pneumonia right away, and to enable me to breathe and get some sleep before I see my own Doc on Monday. That was all I needed. A simple prescription.

Based on my visit today this clinic deserves less than no stars as a rating. But since 1 star is the lowest available, it gets that.
For one star i actually expect to be seen by the doctor, not chased out the door unhelped, by some nurse!
