I went to the emergency waiting room to be seen for bloody urine (normal for kidney stones which i was following up on) and severe abdominal pain (the sharp stabbing kind). In that time I seen many people go come and go while I got worse. I waited 9 HOURS there and still did not get seen. All during this time I had been vomitting and I even passed the kidney stone. It was when I came back from the last trip to the restroom my mom who had drove me to the hospital had enough. She walk up and went behind the glass doors to talk to the receptionist to see how long it would be to see me. When she came back minutes later she just said "Come on. We're going home." It was 9pm and as we walked outside I asked what the receptionist said. She told me there were only 2 people ahead of me and one behind me but that I wouldnt be seen before 1am unless I had "Chest Pain". I was shocked and it suddenly reminded me of what a friend of mind said once. He told me unless your dieing you won't likely be seen.

The facility itself is filthy. I have been to many hospitals military and non-military. All of them I can say keep very clean for obvious health reasons. This is not the case for Huey P Long though. The waiting room has dirt and trash on the floor. The bathrooms look like they havent been cleaned in a week for most of them.

This hospital is also very confusingly labeled. By this I mean some signs are easy to see on the ceiling in a high contrast print. Then some signs are not easy to spot like some of the door signs which are low constrast print (red background/white lettering). Last year when somehow, by the grace of God, I actually got in. I was told to give them a urine sample. They said go straight down and to the left. I think "what?" because i walked through the ER and the only thing left is the exit. So I get out of bed and ask the nurse "you said straight and where?" and she just repeat what she said before. "great..." im thinking. I walk straight down and look left and theres an exit. So I keep going straight looking around, walk back and forth a few times. They see Im confused and start yelling instead of walking over to help. So it takes a few times for me to get what they say but I fine the terribly labeled patient restroom.

Their office looked like the cleaning crew may have skipped a week. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. This was one of the most confusing and frustrating hospitals I have ever been too. Forget about getting any of your questions answered, they are much too busy. Not once but 3 times now I was contacted by various doctors who had looked at my case, did exams, scans , then the next time was an exploratory surgery, after I have brought several not one but multiple referrals from other GYNs saying I needed a hysterectomy, they told me " it was not life threatning" and refused to do the surgery. Then I recieve a call from another Dr. who reviewed my case and she gave me to options for treatment, one being the hysterectomy and her supervisor of GYN surgery, who denied it the first time, denied it again.!!! I have been approved for indigent care and have had to close my business due to the pain, and excessive bleeding, and even with a family history of female cancer he still is denying me the surgery. SO NO I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH MY CARE THAT I HAVE RECIEVED THERE!!!
MY QUALITY OF LIFE IS NOT OF IMPORTANCE TO DIRECTOR OF THE GYN CLINIC!!
