The day prior to my midwifery appointment in Duncan, I awoke with excruciating shoulder pain. Despite my best efforts, nothing mitigated the agony. As I live in Oklahoma City, I thought I would have to choose between honoring my midwife appointment or seeking treatment for my shoulder; it was a holiday weekend. I did call several health care providers in Duncan that morning hoping to see someone that afternoon following my previously scheduled appointment. Dr. Baird's office assistant graciously agreed to take me in. When my husband and I arrived, we were welcomed warmly. Dr. Baird's gentle, personable, humble, and positive manner made all the difference in my treatment experience. After his treatment, I was able to inhale without pain for the first time in two days. Although Duncan is a considerable distance from Oklahoma City, it will be worth the drive to visit such kind people again.
