I'm a resident (doctor) at the UMMC. On an average day I get done with work at 5 or 6, and on days when I'm admitting patients I get done much later, more like 9 or 10. I picked this location because I was told there were good doctors who cared about their patients and were helpful with strange schedules. This is NOT true.

I'm new to the area, so I just needed to see someone to establish primary care, and start getting refills from a local doctor because I'm almost out. It was almost impossible to get out of the hospital early because I'm taking care of almost 10 patients today, but I got out about 30 minutes before my appointment.

Because of traffic I arrived late for my appointment (by about 15 m) I tried calling them on my way there and they already said I probably couldn't see anyone. This is not the service I was promised! Doctors who are in practice go through the exact same thing I'm going through now and SHOULD be the most understanding about difficult situations like mine. The doctors there were completely unwilling to see me and I find this really appalling. I do NOT recommend going to this clinic, or the Allina system in general. They did not provide what they promised...in the end they told me to go to an "Urgent Care" to get my refills which is simply the most absurd and useless advice ever. I'm very disappointed with this office and the Allina group.
