I will start from the beginnig...I have a dog who was gurgling infection (cant breathe without stuggling, bad tooth, hole in gums, rip in gums, gums pulling from teet( in know this because i took him to the er vet the night before who told me to get him to a vet asap the next day) So I call Grandview and I was informed to bring my dog at 3pm and he would probably have to stay the night for surgery the next day. I live 1hour and 30 mins from grandview. I live near chicago where prices are crazy and I used to live in Angola. So I drive the hour and 30 with my dog in the back struggling to breathe. So I get to Grandview and I get called in the back with my dog. The infection is so bad the entire room smells and she opens a window. She take his temp and writes some things down. The Doctor came in Dr. Green and asked why i was there. Which she should have already known since the other vet sent records over. i told her what was going on and that i was there for his ER surgery and she throws her hands up and says "Nope! Ive done surgery all day! I am not doing anymore." As my dog is laying there still struggling to breathe. She then says "I am leavin the country on vacation tomorrow and other who dont know surgery will be taking over. I can see you dog when i get back in a month" I tell her that the ER vet said he needed surgery asap he could hardly breathe and she told me " No he will be fine give him antibotics!" I explain again they said asap and she tells me "well thats their opinon!" then i explain he cant breathe and she said Oh its just hot in here...Umm No he is gurgling infection i said and she said again she wasnt doing anymore surgeriesThen I asked why I was told to drive that far and that he would be getting surgery and she said "Beth must have misunderstood!" So she gets me back to the counter and says "Beth I cant do his surgery" and beth had the nerve to say she never said he would be spending the night! I dont know what kind of ppl work with animals who have no heart for animals but no way in hell would I ever take another pet to this place! These ppl in my opionon only care about themselves and their vacations! Any vet who would watch a dog lay there and suffer and never even look at him makes me sick! To top it off they charged me $22 for absolutely nothing! I wasted my time, gas and money!
