My wife and I were teachers at a mission school in Breathitt County 1959-84, and all 3 of our children were born at Homeplace Hospital (in Airy): boy in 1959, girl 1961, boy 1965! Our income was only $35/mo each! Also, I was badly burned in 1963 and was treated there! What a blessing Homeplace has been to our family! A true "ministry", doing what Jesus would have done for us! We are forever greatful!!! God bless you all!!! In '84 we relocated to the Bluegrass and served at Asbury College until retirement.
