This facility has had several 5-star ratings by Medicare, which drew my attention to them. At my drop-in visit, the first thing I noticed when I walked in the door was the lack of unpleasant smells and the number of clients who were dressed neatly and seated in the public room enjoying television and the company of others. All staff were friendly and helpful and through them we found the admissions coordinator right away. Kathleen Adamson was very pleasant and introduced us to the rehab staff we would potentially be working with. Like everyone else there, the therapists were smiling, pleasant, upbeat and professional.

If you are interested in decor and status, Chehalem Care Center would not rank high on your list. If you are interested in excellent care and support as you recover from surgery, look no further. My dear friend is there right now for rehab from her total knee surgery.
