Dr Shafer and his team have been fantastic, they treat my horse with the upmost care, she has had to have treatment for melanoma and Dr Shafer takes the time to educate me and provides me with information on multiple possible treatments.

The staff here goes above and beyond to get your horse treated quickly and correctly. I trust their knowledge especially when it comes to lameness issues. They don't offer emergency after-hour services, which is frustrating because in an emergency I want to be able to see someone I trust. That said, the contract vet is excellent. They do a great job of never overbooking appointments, even though they are extremely popular. They show up to appointments on time, give a great deal of care in assessing lameness issues and are extremely well versed and candid in laying out all options. Their barns are very clean and every animal cared for extremely well.
