I took my pup here about a month ago to get a subscription to Confortis(oral flea medication). Due to my dogs extremely sensitive skin this is the only decent option for itching relief for my dog. the prices seamed fair for the visit, the flea meds themselves were expensive 24 bucks a pill i believe. but it worked and the flea problems were delt with. when it was time to restock on my flea meds i proceeded to go to 1800 petmeds to order a 6 month supply saving myself about 50 bucks. i new that they would need to check to make sure my dog had a prescription to Confortis, I figured their would be no problem since he had just had confortis prescibed to him by his vet.... two days later after i ordered the meds i received a email saying that my vet had refused to prescribe him his medication. i called the mohawk Vet right away to clear this problem up. they proceeded to tell me that it was illegal for anyone to sell Confortis without a prescription from the vet. I debated with the lady saying that they had just prescribed me Confortis less than a a month ago and that i was refilling my subscription. The Mohawk Veterinary Hospital refuses to allow the purchase of Confortis through anyone other than themselves @ 24 bucks a pill. If you like the freedom of being able to choose where u get your pet meds and how much you pay, DO NOT VISIT THIS VETERINARY HOSPITAL! they only care about the bottom line, not whats best for their costumers and their furry friends.
