Total Rip-off!!! Came into the clinic as an emergency for my cat, they charged $150.00 then took him to the back after getting a brief explanation of the emergency. The receptionist placed me into a room which I waited for 30 to 40 minutes before the Vet came in with a clipboard asking for another explanation of the emergency. Explained once again then I asked what were the findings (assuming they had done an examination), she stated that they would need to do further testing and blood work to make a determination (of which would cost an additional $1250.00).
My cat (15 1/2 yrs. old) was disoriented and had lost control of his left side, to me as an experienced Vet they should have been able to make a possible determination of the cause before stating that further testing at an outrageous cost would need to be done to pinpoint the cause.
I asked is it life/death and I also wanted to know if it was worth the expense seeing as though he is elderly…
Needless to say I asked for my cat back.
This is not an emergency hospital! It’s a money grab!! They play on your emotions to get money!!!!

My dog was taken in and vet acted as if world had ended. Dog had eaten a little poison and they were able to make him vomit (best thing they did.) They wanted to keep him for 3 days at cost of $2k-$4k. We decided to bring him home and was told prospect was grim. My dog was acting himself the very next morning but we still gave charcoal as needed. I am disappointed this office plays off fears of owners who love their pets for $$$. We were also given improper directions. The paperwork gave instructions and when we called to clarify we were told the complete opposite. I hope to not ever have to use an emergency vet again, but if I do it will not be this one. Just a really bad experience with communication. Vets should not be so dark either. Either my dog was a miracle dog or this vet was trying to get more $ in.
