I scheduled something of an urgent surgery at the Surgery Center. Afterward, I read some of the negative reviews, which made me very nervous, but I did not feel I could cancel my surgery due to its urgent nature. However, while I feel sorry for the people who had a bad experience, my experience was very good. The staff and nurses were friendly, sympathetic, and treated me with dignity. They answered all of my questions and responded promptly to my every request, from fixing a pinching IV to getting extra blankets to getting me a small snack when the surgery was over. Coming out of the anesthesia, I was emotional and teary. The nurses were patient and kind, and stayed with me until I was feeling better. I would have no problem scheduling another surgery at the Surgery Center or recommending it to a friend.

Went for a spinal injection. The anesthesiologist checked on me after the injection and then proceeded to show me an exercise (on the recovery room floor) that he thought I should attempt. He also, without being asked or encouraged in any way, wrote a prescription for physical therapy with a therapist that he" highly recommended" . I felt it was all very unprofessional and inappropriate for a doctor I'd never met before, who's specialty was NOT spines, to tell me what I should do, uninvited. I felt very uncomfortable with his actions and words. My problem was NOT remedied by injections or pt....it required extensive surgery.
