At first, I liked this vet because of the friendliness and etc. But I had always just taken my dogs in for shots. I recently took my little black and white Maltese/Shihtzu in because she had progressive loss of mobility in her back legs. Vet did a quick check on her back legs and spinal area and said that it was probably a slip disk and took xrays. Never looked at the rest of her. Xrays came back fine. He said, "well, then it is a soft tissue problem." He prescribed Prednazone and let us go. When I got home, I googled loss mobility of hind legs in dogs and Tick Paralysis came up. Glanced at my dog and found a tick on her 'white' about. After removal of the tick, she got progressively better and was walking by the next morning. I went to the vet and told them what happened and they said that they did a thorough exam and that the likelihood of find a tick was slim. Also, the assistant said "Your dog also has black on her about." I corrected her and said No her about is completely white and even showed her a picture of my dog's face. They denied being competent and therefore I withdrew my dogs records and will be seeking a different vet. I believe that they are completely incompetent also because I had referred my mother-in-law previously to the vet and they stated that it was a possibility that her dog had kidney failure. They put the dog under for teeth cleaning. 6 days later the dog died because the aenestisia sped up the kidney failure.

They made the extra effort to make sure every question and concern I had was addressed. I have heard horror stories of people's pets being misdiagnosed by their veterinarians, but that is not something you have to worry about here. I have never had a bad experience and I have complete faith in their care. They never have that typical, annoying music playing here. If they do play music it is soothing and appropriate for the setting. Whenever I make an appointment, I'm always confident that they're going to be ready for me at my scheduled time. At other places I've been to, it's always bothered me when they postpone my appointment, but they've never done that here. I had to wait for a little while after I arrived for my appointment, but I've had to wait longer at other places.

Was this provider's office too loud?
Not at all, it was very peaceful and quiet
Does this veterinarian send reminder cards for your pets annual check-up?
No, I've even asked them to do it and they always forget. It is so frustrating
