I moved several towns away from New Milford but I have kept Parklane as my dogs Vet for several reasons. He was a southern adoption with some complex medical issues and his MD, DR. Nelson was amazing in every aspect of his care and my OWN. ( it was scary) She consulted with a specialist and my pooch was treated with care the likes of which I've never seen in over 20 years of dog ownership. I TRUST them. My dog adores every person that is on their team so it's his big treat to go get a nail clip; no kidding . It is a highly trained group yet relaxed while professional and their protocols and medical treatment , judgements are always in the dogs best interest. They do not over vaccinate. They are aware of natural remedies and are open to discussing, considering , using them. I recommend them w/o qualification.

We have both cats and ferrets. It is difficult to find vets who are familiar with ferrets, but Dr. Dinwitti has some experience with them, and doesn't hesitate to call for outside consults when he needs to. He will talk at length with us about their conditions. Dr. Nelson usually sees our cats. She clearly loves cats and has done charity work with Kent Kats. But both Dr. Nelson and Dr. Dinwitti are comfortable with both our cats and our ferrets. They clearly seem to like every pet I have ever seen him with.
Probably you could find a vet with more ferret experience in a larger city (Hartford particularly). And no doubt you could find a cheaper vet in a smaller town. But we are happy with Drs. Dinwitti and Nelson.
Oh, I forgot to say, some of their staff are also ferret owners, and all of their staff seem to like the animals that come in.
