I took my dog here, sadly to find out he was dying of cancer and in a lot of pain. The staff, doctors and assistants were all very kind and sympathetic. They were all very patient with me while trying to make the difficult decision to put my dog to sleep. Hardest thing I have had to do. They even let me take him outside for awhile until I was ready. I stayed with him through the whole process. It was heart breaking but very peaceful. A few days later they sent me a sympathy card! Very thoughtful. Thank you! RIP Newman. " All Dogs Go To Heaven "

I love this place. Our dogs have a bad habit of getting themselves hurt on weekends when their normal vet near Barboursville is closed, and we always take them here even though it's a bit out of the way (we live in Milton). The staff are friendly and caring, and they always take pets back immediately if it's an emergency situation. They do the best they can to help the animals. They even remember us by name most of the time, and ask how our most frequently brought-in dog is doing.

I feel much more comfortable with the workers here than the ones in Ceredo/Kenova, which is the closest ER vet to us. All of the pets we've brought there ended up dying or getting sick as soon as they left the office. My mom's friend bought a dog from a bad breeder, the people at Ceredo/Kenova emergency vet said to put her to sleep because she couldn't be saved (after charging her thousands of dollars for unnecessary tests). She said no and took her to the one in South Charleston and they discovered right away she had a VERY bad case of worms and parvo. Now Lilly is a happy, healthy puppy.

We wouldn't have half of our dogs anymore if it weren't for the awesome workers at this place. We're so grateful to everyone there. Don't take them anywhere else if you have the choice!
