I had very negative experiences with SOAH. We were told our 9-year-old rescue, Whammy, was spayed and then she went into heat! Brought her to SOAH, had her spayed along with removal of a mass on her eyelid. The Rescue group said they would reimburse up to $300 for the spay. SOAH gives receipts with 30 items listed and a grand total, no breakdown of any sort. I asked Gail if I could get a revised bill to submit to the Rescue. She said no, it’s too much work. So, goodbye to my $300. Even though SOAH got paid. Total cost for me, over $1,300. 18 months later, I discovered a mass on her breasts and another on her face. Both were cancer. Dr Pascetta seems to be a very competent, caring doctor. It’s his staff which is intolerable. Especially his wife, Megan, the practice manager. Whammy had these masses removed 12/5/24, my cost over $2,900. Brought her for her follow up 2 weeks later. Had the staples removed and the Dr. looked her over. Kim, the vet tech walked out with me to reception and very clearly said “No charge for today.” I had asked for a refund on a probiotic given to me on surgery day. I told 3 people on staff that she would not take these pills any way, any how, yet they gave them to me. I looked up the cost online, $29. They gave me the refund and then charged me $58 (exactly twice my refund) for the Dr. to check her over after the staple removal. Megan’s exact words in a later email: “There is always a fee when following up after a surgery.” Funny, there was no charge for the surgery 18 months earlier. IMHO, Megan is very spiteful, petty and vindictive. Willing to lose a $4,000 per year customer rather than refund $29. Read other business reviews and you will see apologies, never with Megan, not ever! She has an answer for everything. If she doesn’t, she claims it’s not their customer. She also calls the police on customers and threatens the same. She allegedly sent my dog’s records to every vet in Whiting with a note that I called her a witch (with a B.) Excellent vet. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. Prompt, friendly and expertly handled my skittish cats. And gave me a discount without me even having to ask. Very reasonable prices. Top notch.
