I usually never leave bad reviews but if I could give this vet office -5 stars I would. I’ve dealt with this vet for a long time. My parents went to them for a few years when I was a teen. I never went because of how awful they are. For one my parents have taken a lamb and a dog in for a surgery in the past and they overdosed both, yes both of them, then they put them in trash bags and told my parents to come get them or they’d throw them in the trash. How awful to say to someone who just lost an animal due to employee error, and it was admitted. Then my parents had a dog needing a c-section and they knicked an artery and almost killed her thankfully she did pull through. I never wanted to deal with them just for that but I have heard so many horror stories from that place. Yeah they are cheaper but you get what you pay for. Now all of that was a few years ago now. Well I had a litter of show Dobermans and no one near me but them crops ears, and show Dobermans have to have cropped ears so I called them 3-4 months ago and told them I couldn’t give them a specific time of when I would need the ears cropped until the puppies were born, which they get their ears cropped at 10 weeks old. They told me that they understood and had worked with breeders and once I had my litter to give them a call and they would squeeze me in since I was a breeder and had several. Fast forward to today when I based the prices of my puppies partly on how much they were charging for ears (yes cheaper than others further away) and already have my litter sold and I called them to let them know they then tell me they cannot squeeze me in at all. I then ask to speak to a manager and yes I was quite upset and told the lady on the phone I was not at all trying to be rude to her or anything but that I didn’t appreciate being told something and then it not happening she told me she would transfer me. I was hung up on. I called back another lady answered the phone, I was simply expressing my displeasure and just wanted to know when the manager would be back in she then gets rude and tells me they don’t deal with rude customers after I get rude back and she hangs up on me. Worst experience with any vet ever. I honestly hate this vet office I was going to give them another shot but wow have they got even worse. Best advice don’t deal with them. Lying, rude, not skilled employees is all they have. And like I said I’m not one to usually get heated over stupid things, leave bad reviews but I’ve had it with them. There are wayyyy more skilled, nicer, trustworthy vets in this area. Highly recommend RiverView Vet Office in Wilkes County. Once again If I were you I wouldn’t even bother with them.
