I will try to keep this short.. but its impossible ..

There was a cat coming to my back door in the middle of winter asking for food 9 degrees and sleet and snow coming. He developed a golf ball abscess on his cheek which had burst and started draining (Not pretty, really bad) So NOT being the richest person on the planet I asked a close neighbor if they would help with a Vet, bill. (They did) So the cat was trapped taken to DR. GRIMM @ Greenbrier Animal Hospital. I was advised they would give him antibiotics and steroid shots to help. (agreed)

I then thought if we were to really going to help him we should get him fixed and given ALL shots and stuff PRE-surgery STUFF (which I believed should have included Feline leukemia and Feline Aids Test Standard). So they did.

So on the second day I asked if they did a leukemia and aids test whoops no they did not. So I asked them to. I went to go pick him up and while I look at the bill which I SAW INCLUDED THE AIDS TEST.

So I paid in full. They told me it would be just few minutes and we could take him home to our garage which by the way we had cleaned and put cat houses heaters blankets the whole nine yards.......

One minute later a young vet comes out and tells us the cat has AIDS and blamed me for not requesting the AIDS TEST before the surgery.... I thought it was included in give him all necessary shots and stuff. So they waited until I paid then told me he HAD AIDS.

THEN I WAS TOLD THE AIDS TEST WAS NOT REQUESTED.

WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD A VET DO SURGERY WITHOUT TESTING.. OR ASKING ME IF I WANTED THE TESTS.. WHICH OF COURSE MEANS DEATH FOR THIS CAT OR ANY ANIMAL IT COMES IN CONTACT WITH

I CALLED MT OLD VET AND HE AGREED WE SHOULD IT WAS STANDARD FOR A "VETERINARIAN" TO ASK IF YOU WANT THE AIDS TEST BEFORE A VET WOULD NEUTER AN ANIMAL!!! After all why put a WOUNDED animal through all the shots, surgery and everything... Just so some 21 year old vet comes out right after you pay your bill and tells you the animal has Feline AIDS. He told em to leave the cat there until Mr. Grimm called me the next day.

Grimm call yelling at me telling me we should have asked for the test??? Then told me to let him loose as half the stray cats in the world have aids??? (I beleive all he cared about was the money!!!!!)

I will never go back to this place where all the fingers are pointed straight at me...the lay person. especially right after they take our hard earned money.

SHAME ON YOU MR. GRIMM SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are a military couple visiting Evansville over Christmas, and decided to drive in with our dog and leave her kenneled in town while we visited for a couple of days. We scheduled to bring her in on Sunday the 23rd and pick her up Wednesday the 26th. When I called that morning to ask what time to bring her in, they told me they were closed, and if we were going to bring her in they would charge us $75 extra for an AM drop off, or $50 for PM drop off on Sunday. The vet who we talked to acted like he was put out that we scheduled a drop off on a Sunday (they did not tell us they were closed when we scheduled this), because he was on his way to church. Bad business move Greenbriar. Not only should you have apologized for putting us in a bind, but you were going to charge us extra money for your own scheduling mistake! Needless to say, we did not bring her in at all!! We were lucky our family welcomed her to stay instead.
