I was charged for an individual office visit for what was actually a group visit of 15+ people. I was informed ahead of time that this would be the case. I thought that was ridiculous, but shrugged it off, since insurance was paying. What I found out was that my insurance company was charged for an individual visit and a group visit that same day.(I only knew of the double charge because I check my online insurance site frequently.) There was ONE group visit for 30 minutes of her total time and NO individual visit. How lucrative! Fifteen pllus patients charged for group and individual visits! When I alerted the insurance company, her office said I HAD received an individual office visit and a group visit, which was NOT true. I have not paid the amount billed to me for this rip-off and I will not go back. This is only part of the questionable billing practices I experienced there.
