About

Patrice Carter, LMT,MA,CWWP

Located 6 miles from Hwy 71 on Hamilton Pool Road, 7 miles from the Hill Country Galleria. Because each of my clients' have unique bodies, changing personal situations & varying goals which require a different approach to each treatment, I combine my physical and intuitive strength with a wide range of massage/bodywork techniques to suit whatever is presented. For those who work long hours and carry their stress home I offer a deep tissue remedial massage with trigger point therapy to decrease tension and alleviate related pain. For competitive athletes, those who exercise hard or anyone suffering from injuries, my sports massage and lymphatic work will speed recovery and enhance performance by nourishing joints and muscles, breaking down adhesions in the fascia and correcting postural imbalances. I also enjoy treating my more sensitive clients(or those who just want to let go, switch off and unwind) with a therapeutic and relaxing blend of Swedish massage, myofascial release, Hot Stone, Prenatal, Aromatherapy, Esalen and more. One great passion I have is Watsu and Waterdance. A form of bodywork that takes place in a shallow ( 4 ft ) pool of warm water where time and concerns drift away. Entrusting yourself to the wave. If you have any questions about your condition or how I can help you please do not hesitate to give me a call. I look forward to helping you heal yourself, As a massage therapist my goal is to help my clients in attaining and maintaining good health in body, mind and spirit. The quality of the care you receive is dependent on both the energy and training of the therapist. I have been in the field of health care on multiple levels for over 20 years with over 1000 hours of advanced training and have been in private practice as a therapist for nine. My work integrates both eastern and western modalities. I helped create the professional clinic at White Crane on S. Congress part of the Academy of Oriental Medicine where I worked with a wide range of others in the field of health, and spent 4 wonderful years working at a world class spa and wellness center. As a dancer in Manhattan I became interested in bodywork when I started taking yoga to help keep me more flexible. I became a Shiatsu practitioner ( sometimes called acupressure ) and maintained a private practice for two years. I left to follow my love of art and teaching and eventually earned my Masters in Art Education. Still the adventurer, I spent years mountain climbing until I really needed to find relief from pain refusing any more shots for injuries and surgeries. I retired from teaching and in 2001 my background in anatomy and physiology through medical illustration led me back to bodywork. I continue to do art creating murals both privately and for the public, have illustrated several childrens books, built homes with Habitat for Humanity and other interesting journeys. I also have a business called Taste and Touch ~

They knew about the different types of massages, and were able to do the exact massage I was hoping for. I couldn't believe how knowledgeable and well-informed the staff was. They were able to answer all my questions, except the ones they needed to have their boss's input on. It was great to be able to talk to such a skilled staff. They are always extremely careful to respect my privacy and knock every single time before they enter the massage room. I never have to worry. It was very easy to get an appointment. They have a very flexible schedule and get me in quickly every time. Their primary concern is my safety and comfort, and they always take the time to address every concern of mine immediately.
