After being told by our Mother's doctor there was no hope and to take her home, we were determined to do that but in great despair as to how we would manage. Within a half hour of our Mother coming home, it was as tho a ladder came down from heaven and angels suddenly appeared. Everyone from this hospice not only cared for our Mother passionately but took care of my sister, brother, and I as well. Our beloved Mother got to spend the last 11 days of her life in her own home with her children and her cats, with friends and family visiting, exactly what she wished for. Without Amedisys, this could not have happened and Mom's nurse, JoAnn became a member of our family for life. Thank you from the bottom of our heart.
We had not ever had any experiences with hospice care. We did not know what to expect. This work you do.....It matters. We will never forget you.
