Striking a balance between all of these areas is central to achieving total wellness of body and mind, as well as ensuring long-term health and the prevention of disease. —Dr. Leslie Saltzman, Medical DirectorDr. Leslie Saltzman, a board certified internist, was first exposed to medicine as a child while observing her mother's family practice. She went on to earn her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (her mother’s alma mater). She began her training in family medicine and completed her internship at Bryn Mawr Hospital, which gave her a solid grounding in gynecology. Dr. Saltzman then completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania’s Pennsylvania Hospital. Her professional interests include women’s health, evidence-based preventive medicine and endocrinology.Dr. Saltzman completed her undergraduate work at Wellesley College, earning a B.A. in French and Economics. Prior to completing her post-baccalaureate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, she worked in New York for Pfizer’s Consumer Healthcare Division as a Market Manager.Dr. Saltzman lives in Philadelphia with her husband and daughter. She has been featured in the Philadelphia Women's Journal, heard on BenFM 95.7 as Woman of the Week, and will be featured on CBS3 with Stephanie Stahl.
