Dr. Zegarra received his BS and MD degrees from Cayetano Heredia University in Lima, Peru. He completed his ophthalmology and retinal training at the Cleveland Clinic and Devers Eye Clinic of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Portland, Oregon.
