I am a psychiatrist in private practice in Evanston, Illinois. I do both psychotherapy and medication management, and am happy to either do both of these myself or collaborate with therapists. I have fellowship training in the treatment of addictive disorders, and am certified to prescribe buprenorphine for the treatment of opiate addiction. However, my practice is by no means limited to addictions treatment, but also extends to the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. I am also happy to provide "second opinions" and consultations for patients who are already getting treatment elsewhere. My philosophy of treatment is that I am a consultant engaged in a collaborative relationship with the patient. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to give you my honest professional opinion of the likely results of the various treatment options you may be considering, and also to point out other options which you may not have been aware of.
