I had an appointment here yesterday afternoon. I arrived on time, only to find the door locked. A woman came to the door after I knocked and told me the office was closed. I thought this strange, since I had received a phone call from the office a few hours earlier, confirming my appointment. She called the doctor to the door, and he explained to me that they had chosen to close the office due to the rioting in Tinley Park. Well, that was surprising since there was no rioting in Tinley Park, and also due to the fact that Tinley Park is ten miles away from this office. The doctor then told me "the safety of my staff is my primary concern." Strange....I thought the primary concern of a doctor was the well-being of his patients. I wonder if the office bothered to call other patients to inform them that the office was closing, or maybe they showed up to a locked door with no explanation. I have not received any contact from this doctor to see if I want to re-schedule. He might be a good doctor, but he will never have the opportunity to prove it to me. I would never seek health care from a provider who shows such a total lack of concern for patients.
