I got a GREAT cut and found the prices to be quite reasonable. Ive been to other salons (Portland has a TON of them.) and the cost of services here were all below what other salons were charging. They were training a new receptionist when I booked my appointment so maybe the "Stressful" review no longer applies. Parking is tough as the salon is in the Old Port so parking is always a hassle in that area. Not the salon's fault but I included that fact in my rating because it is something to be considered. Brief wait(5 mins while the previous client was paying and then my stylist had to sweep up.)when I got there also impacted rating. Also this is the only salon I could find that had a CERTIFIED Hair Extensions specialist. Other salons do hair extensions but you have no idea if the person doing them knows what the heck they are doing. A person can buy the equipment on Ebay and claim they can do hair extensions. That's like me buying a hammer and saying I'm a carpenter. Had a friend who spent HUNDREDS on having extensions put in only to come out looking AWFUL. Big plastic bonds were clearly visible all over her head. She had to spend another hundred dollars having them removed so it was close to 600.00 all together for shorter hair than when she started because some had to be cut out. Come to find the person who did them never received ANY formal training, she had just watched someone else do it a few times.
