I was looking for a good stylist to color & cut my hair. I'd been to the other places on Monona Drive & found people I was happy with to cut my hair. But the turnover is quite something so the stylist I liked, left. Found another one, she left. Went to other one & had a complete snot cut my hair, then they gave me the best stylist. But I couldn't afford her. So, I tried a really small salon & did not like the quality I wasn't exactly looking for another stylist b/c I was under the impression that you pay an arm & a leg or you go to Cost Cutters) Until, my Mother-In-Law referred me to Heidi at Hairworks.


I've always felt intimidated to walk into fancy salons, (Studio Z or Ultimate Spa Salon & places like those). The rich clientel, rows of chairs, formal attire, expensive cost, etc. I honestly feel like I do not belong with all these hoidy toidy people. They do a good job making you feel exactly that. Even clientel are stuck up. Hairworks is not only as beuutiful as the rest of them, but it's the excellent work & welcoming personalities that make it a step above the others.

So right off the bat, I walk into Hairworks, (almost six years ago now)I didn't feel intimidated at all. Jenny who sets appointments & cosmetics is incredibly sweet. Jeanie is one of the two stylists(you couldn't be more sweet than her. Outgoing & Bubbly ~ She's a great stylist & does AMAZING waxing as well. Heidi is my stylist. She is perfection. She's does such accurate & precise work that I recruited my mother & her partner to see her as well.(Even though my moms best friend has been her stylist for 20 years. Well, Heidi's great work convinced them)
I got married in Mexico in 2005, Heidi flew to Mexico with us & did my hair for my wedding. She did my makeup, nails & made my wedding day AMAZING!! Besides the fact that she is a really fun person in addition to her great work.
She ended up cutting Mom & Joe's hair for the wedding & they couldn't believe how great it was! (That's how I feel every time I leave the salon) That's all it took to convince them. Five years later they both still go there. I can't say enough good about them. (I do not work for them or they didn't ask me to do this) I was looking for the number online & stumbled upon this site & decided that others need to know(but please don't take ALL the appointments, I still need to get in ;)
