My work with anxiety is through effective, non-medical interventions based on developing skills for dealing with emotional experiences. I utilize homework, reading and skill development to accelerate the client's progress and assist them in feeling better sooner.
My treatment approach is very practical and is focused on day to day outcomes. I have experience with both adults and children in this regard. I also work with organizations (corporate as well as not-for-profit) to assist in developing more effective interactive styles for organization members.
My extensive experience in assessment and testing, translates to quick and effective assessments in the course of psychotherapy as well. My background in teaching psychology has improved my effectiveness in educational approaches with clients. I am active in the local community through my volunteer work as a scout leader.
