Dr. Peyman Nazmi:
Dr. Peyman Nazmi is Board Certified in Pain Management and Anesthesiology. He completed his residency and fellowship training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Montefiore Medical Center of New York in 1997. He is a graduate of the Medical University of Pecs in Hungary. He is a member of the International Spine Intervention Society and American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Dr. Marc Caligtan:
Dr. Marc Caligtan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He went on to gain both his Masters of Science in Physiology and Medical Degree at VCU Medical Center's Medical College of Virginia. He completed his Internship at Johns Hopkins University in the Sinai Department of Internal Medicine and his Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Caligtan enjoys spending time with his daughters and wife. His hobbies include traveling, cooking, and playing basketball. He is also an avid fan of UVA athletics and NFL football.
Tammy Mills, FNP:
Tammy Mills, FNP-C is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner that joined our staff of patient care providers in August of 2016. Tammy obtained her diploma as a Registered Nurse from the Bon Secours School of Nursing in 2003. She received her Bachelors of Science in Health Science in Nursing at MCV at VCU Health Systems in 2007. She went on to obtain her Masters of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Virginia in 2011.
She has worked as a nurse practitioner for more than 4 years specializing in Orthopedics at Advanced Orthopedics; as well as, St. Mary’s Hospital. Tammy truly loves working with her patients to find solutions to their problems and concerns.

We specialize in the treatment of a variety of painful conditions. In most cases we are able to offer our patients a variety of options to treat their pain. Back and neck pain resulting from degenerative spine disease or herniated discs, Unsuccessful back surgeries, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS or RSD), Post-herpetic neuralgia.
Depending on your type of pain you may be a candidate for one of the following procedures. These procedures may be performed with or without the guidance of fluoroscopy (x-ray):
*Epidural steroid injections; both transforaminal as well as interlaminar approaches, in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar areas.
*Facet joint injections or medial branch blocks in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar areas.
*Stellate ganglion blocks.
*Lumbar sympathetic blocks.
*Radiofrequency rhizotomy.
*Spinal cord stimulator trials and placement of permanent units. Additional Services Interventional Pain Medicine, Pain, Injections
