Amy Slear, MD

Amy Slear, MD is a board certified dermatologist. After finishing her undergraduate education at Yale University, Dr. Slear attended SUNY Downstate for medical school. During medical school, she was elected to the Alpha Omega alpha honor society. She completed a preliminary year in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital and a dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate, serving as chief resident in her last year. Dr. Slear currently teaches residents at the New York Harbor VA.

I was somewhat worried about their equipment; it looked rather old and outdated. I'm not sure if it was in the best condition. They were extremely late to all my appointments. I always had to wait over an hour for them to show up. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. They don't really take that extra step to make me feel special. I'm just another client to them. They were very polite and helpful and made sure that I had everything I needed.

They lied about what they could do in the office when I called to schedule an appointment. It was a waste of time and money. They took the payment 10 minutest after I got there then made me wait another hour before I actually saw a dr.

Dr. Slear and staff were very professional. I could tell they really care about everyone who visits them. They answered my questions and spent a lot of time with me. I didn't feel like they were trying to rush my appointment at all. They always take that extra step to make me feel special. I always enjoy my appointments here. I got an appointment quickly. I've never had to wait too long. I've been other places that left me unattended for quite awhile, but not here. They would never leave me unattended and they always go the extra mile to make me feel cared for.
