I have nothing nice to say, about the services my mother is getting.
In the 80's, my father was well taken care of.

I have been informed, not to call my mother daily.
I have been told that None of the Patients rooms have phones.
I was informed that the Nurses phone, would not go down to my
mothers room. (This evening, again.)

Yesterday, my mother was lost for awhile.
When I called the Nurses Station, I was told that my mother was
not in room 52. Noooo one was in room 52. She was in
room 62. The lady in 62, was not my mother. Their 1st
names were the same.

Sunday, 05/01, I call to talk to the Customer Service Department. As of 5:20 pm, 05/02, Noooo one from this place, has called me back !!!

This past Sunday, I was on hold, waiting for a Nurse @ the Nurses Station, to pick up & get my mother a phone, Sooooo as I could talk to my mother.
The "NURSE's", English was Soooooo bad, that after a few minute of trying to explain, that I was calling from Out -of- State & wanted to speak to my mother, I hung up.
I did not want to INSULT this female.

This nite, for the 3rd time, I could not talk to my mother. The Nurses Station & the phone brought down to my mother in her room could not hear me. I did use 2 different phones.

That phone has a bad connection.
When I call, the operator can hear me.
When the operator, gets me to the Nurses Station, the Nurses, can hear me.

When a Nurse, from the Nurse's Station, walks a phone, down to my mother room, that is when the problem starts !!!!!!!

My uncle is a resident and they went above and beyond in all efforts to make him comfortable and his stay enjoyable. My uncle was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was slowly slipping away from this world, his wish was to see his nine year old daughter that lived in Michigan. The staff of Valley View made contacts with several organizations and worked diligently to find him a way to see her. They also allowed him to use the apartment facilities the weekend that she came and took both care of her and him throughout the weekend stay. Their hard work and care for their patients far exceeds any expectations that I would have of any nursing home. I would highly recommend this center.
