My mother lived at the Lakeland Center for a year and a half. During that time, she made friends, went on outings, and made the most of her life while living there. Her care was good, her room was always clean, and the food was very good. The quality of care was also good. When she passed it was with dignity and comfort. The staff was like family to her. I think that people who complain about the Lakeland Center need to look at themselves first, and ask themselves why are they are so bitter and angry? The Lakeland Center is a good place with limited citations, they take care of some of sickest patients that other nursing homes wouldn't touch. you want good care go to the Lakeland Center!

This facility is a death trap ready to happen. I saw patients not being taken care of. People who could not care for themselves not being fed and when they are their food is cold. Hiring of criminal elements to care of others love ones. The workers are like the management staff they do not give a hoot about the people in their care. But they want the money but not willing to do the work. hen issues are brought to the staff they immediately get attitudes and make disrespectful comments to the family members. And please don't even mention the social worker, she may and I say may have gotten her degree but her compassion for families and patients only goes as far and the dollar amount she can swindle the families out of. This woman is vindictive and scandalous and I pray that the board of directors take the time to survey the conduct of these people. Patients having personal belongings stolen by staff members. Whatever happen to do criminal backgrounds. Some of the staff have witnessed police escorting staff members out in handcuffs. I was visiting a friend and also saw a woman with scissors trying to attack another patient.

I would rate this facility a -5 because they fail miserably at caring for invalid patients and are receiving money for the worse care that can be given.

If this facility is state owned, then families need to contact their congressmen and the federal government about how they are destroying lives instead of curing patients.
